From the sour cream container that never actually has sour cream, to the creation of beautiful art, rasquachismo has a unique aesthetic Chicana/o/x. This form of artistic expression has helped us thoroughly understand the idea of counter scripts, which according to Molina is when people of color resist the dominant racial scripts that have been placed upon them (Molina 10). They try to find alternatives to directly challenge higher institutions, and in the process Chicanos create beautiful art, plays, zines, and many more creative projects that flourish into something much more. Rasquachismo is a way in which many people have performed politics where they use art or plays to be able to make their presence noticeable to the public. By using rasquachismo, Chicanos can represent their struggles and hopes for the future while practicing counter scripts. This is possible by representing who they truly are through their resistance to assimilate to the American way of life, which according to history has in some cases been the racial scripts of Chicano/a/xs that they want to â€Å"fit in†. Rasquache is a form of perspective, a perspective that is usually placed in a lower position compared to other groups of people. Even though many times they are treated unequally and must adapt to many different situations they see their life as not being â€Å"too bad†.
